Join the R1 Beta Program
Shape the future of practical robotics
R1 is the intelligent control module that mounts to wheeled, quadruped and humanoid ROS2‑compatible robots. It delivers on‑board AI processing, navigation and task autonomy so your robots can handle package delivery, classroom instruction, healthcare assistance and hazardous operations. R1 is currently in development, and we're inviting organizations to become early adopters and shape the product.
What's included in early access
Early‑adopter participants receive everything they need to test BotBot's technology in the field:
R1 hardware (beta)
You'll receive prototype control modules equipped with NVIDIA Jetson boards capable of 275 TOPS of on‑board AI processing. These units include modular power/data ports and are loaned for the duration of the program. Each tester may receive up to two units.
Software stack
Access to our beta software suite with teleoperation, data‑visualization, navigation and AI‑powered chat. This allows you to manage and monitor your fleet across web and mobile, and provide feedback to shape future releases.
Appropriate payloads & robot
We'll match you with the right sensors and actuators from our portfolio—vision cameras, radar, projectors and long‑range communications modules—plus a compatible robot if needed. You can also bring your own ROS2‑enabled robot; we'll work with you to integrate it.
Benefits of joining
The goal of the early‑adopter program is to partner with innovators who can help guide our development. As a participant you will:
Influence the roadmap
Your real‑world feedback directly shapes features and priorities, ensuring R1 meets industry needs.
Receive priority support
You'll have a dedicated line to our engineering team for setup and troubleshooting.
Enjoy preferential pricing
Early adopters will receive special commercial terms once R1 is generally available.
Build expertise
Get hands‑on with cutting‑edge robotics hardware and software, and share best practices with other testers.
Example applications
We're especially interested in working with teams operating in the following domains. Tell us about your challenges and ideas, and we'll explore together how R1 and our robots can help:
Industry & infrastructure
Could autonomous patrols or machine monitoring reduce downtime in your factory, refinery or airport? Share your use case and let's prototype a solution.
Healthcare
Do you need unobtrusive ways to collect vitals or streamline patient flow? We're looking for clinics and hospitals to validate health‑monitoring scenarios.
Logistics & delivery
Would robots that move packages or medications between departments or buildings improve efficiency? Tell us how autonomous transport could help your facility.
Education
Are you a teacher or university looking to use robots for hands‑on STEM learning? We want feedback from educators on our programming tools and curricula.
Security
Are you responsible for securing residential, commercial or industrial sites? Help us refine surveillance features and threat detection.

Hardware shipment
Qualified testers receive up to two R1 units and selected payloads for a loan period (hardware must be returned at the end of the program).
Ongoing software updates
You'll test new features like customizable dashboards and improved navigation as they're released.
Feedback cycles
Regular check‑ins to gather insights and guide development.
Commercial launch
Early adopters transition to paid plans with preferential pricing.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many units can I test at once?
We can provide up to two R1 units per tester so you can evaluate fleet‑level capabilities without overcommitting resources.
Do I need to be a robotics expert?
No; our platform is designed to be intuitive. Basic understanding of ROS2 and networking is helpful, but we provide documentation and direct support to help you get started.
What happens to the hardware after the program?
The beta hardware is loaned. Once the testing period ends or commercial units become available, we'll arrange return shipping.
Is there a cost to participate?
Participation is free. There is no fee to apply or to take part in the beta program. We loan the hardware at no charge and arrange return shipping at the end.
Can I use my own robots?
Yes. R1 works with a wide range of ROS2‑compatible robots, and we encourage you to bring your own platform. We will help you integrate it and provide appropriate payloads. If you don't have a robot, we can supply a compatible one for testing.
How long is the program?
The beta testing program runs for 3 months, with the possibility of a 3-month extension based on mutual agreement and progress. This gives you ample time to thoroughly test and integrate R1 into your operations.
What if I need more payloads?
We provide a starter kit. Additional sensors or modules can be requested subject to availability.
Where does the program apply?
The early‑adopter program is currently open to organizations based in Brazil. We may expand to other regions in the future.
How do I apply?
Send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Early Access". Tell us a bit about your organization, your current applications and how you think R1 and our quadruped or biped robots could help solve your problems.
